The standard engine across the GX lineup is a 4.6L V8 that kicks out 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. The engine averages just 16 MPG combined. The Lexus GX employs a 6-speed automatic transmission and a full-time all-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case.

The mid-level Premium trim adds navigation, heated/ventilated front seats, heated outboard second-row seats,tri-zone climate control, and rain-sensing wipers.
