2021 Range Rover Velar vs Porsche Macan

Anyone who is trying to get behind the wheel of a luxurious and powerful SUV knows that there are a lot of options on the market to deal with. We also know that it makes it difficult to really figure out which one is right for your needs. We are going to be checking out two of the top models: the 2021 Range Rover Velar and the 2021 Porsche Macan. The Velar starts everything off with a new Pivi Pro infotainment system, a 3D surround camera system, a redesigned steering wheel, a gear shifter, 19- and 21-inch alloy wheels, a comfortable ride, and an attractive interior and exterior. The Macan tries to keep up with standard Apple CarPlay, a few different engine options, and rear-biased all-wheel drive. Keep reading down below to see which of these SUVs is right for you!

2021 Range Rover Velar Power & Handling

The first place we're starting with the Range Rover Velar is the engine lineup. All of the available options come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The base engine itself is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, which can get as much as 247 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. You can even get a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 engine in two different configurations. The first offers up to 335 hp and 354 pound-feet of torque, while the second gets you 395 hp and 405 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is also standard with these different engines, which is why the Velar continues to outpace the competition.

2021 Porsche Macan Power & Handling

The Macan has its own engine lineup to look at. These engines come with rear-biased all-wheel drive throughout. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4, which offers 273 lb-ft of torque and 248 hp. You can also check out a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, which produces 354 lb-ft of torque. The final engine is a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6, which offers 383 pound-feet of torque.
