What Are the Land Rover Defender Body Styles?

In past model years, Land Rover has provided the Defender 90 and the Defender 110. The Defender 90 is a two-door SUV with a wheelbase that stretches 101.9 inches, making the overall length of 180.4 inches. The Defender 90 offers available seating for five occupants. Meanwhile, the 110 offers four doors, a 119-inch wheelbase, and seating for five. All-new for the 2023 model year is the Defender 130, which sits on the same 119-inch wheelbase as the 110, but stretches the overall length to 211 inches, making it 13.4 inches longer than the Defender 110! The result of this even larger Defender is three rows of seating, making way for a total of eight occupants. The Land Rover 130 may be built to take the whole family along, but it is still every bit of a Defender as the shorter models in terms of all-terrain abilities.

2023 Land Rover Defender Engine and Drivetrain Options

The 2023 Land Rover Defender is available with three engine options. Standard equipment is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 cylinder engine that supplies drivers with 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 cylinder engine is optional, dialing the power numbers up to 395 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. The I-6 engine uses mild-hybrid technology to maximize fuel efficiency and performance. The last available engine is a 5.0L supercharged V8 that rips out an exciting 518 horsepower and 461 lb-ft of torque. The three Land Rover Defender engines are mated to a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission that powers Land Rover’s legendary full-time all-wheel drive system.
