Land Rover Defender Wins World Car Design of the Year

For the 2021 award season, every contender competing in the other four award categories was also eligible to be considered for World Car Design of the Year. The panel of judges consisted of automotive design experts who reviewed the recommendations that were sent in by 93 international journalists. The design experts were from across the world, including Germany, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, and Japan. The goal was to find the vehicle that demonstrated the highest standard of technical innovation, and design, along with a drive toward pushing boundaries.
